This year, Radio Scotland devoted four shows to the
event. Read our interviews with Aberfeldy...

…the evening's shows were started off on a adorable
note by aberfeldy. all i knew about this band before
their show was that they are scottish, probably twee
and tony and angel were very excited to see them. now
i can understand why. they completely charmed the pants
off me, which is no easy task. their songs were cute,
their members were cute (two! girls who sang and played
xylophones and plucked violins), the venue was cozy,
we were drinking faggy mixed drinks like water. we were
on the fast track to greatness…

Instead, I ended up at Pok-e-Jo's Smokehouse. I'd read
positive things about the Scottish band Aberfeldy which
just happened to be next on stage, and I found them
to be delightful. (Who can complain about dual xylophones?)
Lead singer Riley Briggs also charmed the audience with
his offbeat and somewhat cynical view of life. Speaking
about drinking to forget, he said, "Believe me,
it can be pointless." With bouncing melodies and
rich lyrics, it was perfect music for an outdoor Saturday
afternoon…
